Good friends

Now that my friend Laura has gotten her gifts, I can show you the necklace that I made for her: Ladybug May.

I have to say, that having friends who craft and who encourage and challenge you to always do your best are absolute treasure. (It also doesn't hurt that she always has good things to say about stuff I make for our exchanges.) A little encouragement is a balm for the soul. And a little challenge expands your horizons.

Laura is also the winner of the ladybug pincushion - as she was the first to comment on it. She has the original one, and her little boy wanted another one so very badly - so it goes to him.

No Comment?

Well, as I received not a single comment about the pincushion giveaway, no one has won it. I can't decide whether to give it to my son, or give it to the first person who does leave a comment about it. Any ideas? It is a rather sweet little pincushion, albeit a simple one. Perhaps someone would like to give it a home?

Bug Addiction - My First Giveaway

Well, if you read my last post, you'll know that I made a ladybug pincushion for the heck of it. My previous post contained the link to the tutorial for it as well, but here it is again. I decided to make 4 more. They are that fun to make. So, one is for my daughter Rose, 2 are for a pincushion exchange with friends, and 1 may be for you:

Ladybug May

Just a few sneak peeks of a project I've been making. Its a present, so I can't show you everything until my friend gets it.

Life in spring is full of ladybugs. At least, here in Texas.

And one more little ladybug - a pincushion. You can find the tutorial here. It's teeny and cute and it hangs off of your thumb to keep pins in easy reach. It took about 15 minutes total. I recommend everyone make one NOW.
